Welcome to the Age of Cell Reprogramming
The mechanism of physiological cell reprogramming is present in the human body during the embryonic phase in perfect balance, allowing for the renewal of the life cycle of individual cells. Unfortunately, over the years, this balance is disrupted, cells deteriorate and die due to natural or pathological causes. Now, this regenerative mechanism can also be reproduced in adult organisms, enabling the slowing down of their decay or degeneration thanks to growth and differentiation factors. The zebrafish, or Danio rerio, is a freshwater fish that has recently become the most commonly used animal model for laboratory studies around the world, thanks to its unique characteristics. During certain periods of growth of zebrafish embryos, it is possible to obtain, using complex techniques, the entire epigenetic code capable of reprogramming human cells and differentiating them.
